2025 Data for Hope® Competition: The Power of Workforce Development

In 2021, ATLytiCS engaged teams of volunteers to review and analyze data related to ARC’s top challenges facing the Atlanta region in our Atlanta Societal Impact (ASI) project. One issue that Atlanta still faces today is a mismatch between jobs available and the skills of unemployed workers. Workforce development programs are key to filling skills gaps and solving this problem. ASI Workforce

For this year’s competition, we are partnering with CareerRise, an Atlanta workforce intermediary, to bring the data community together to delve into the power of workforce development.

The goal of workforce development is to create skilled workers, connect them to good jobs, and build strong communities where everyone has a chance to thrive. When people have access to quality training and opportunities, businesses get the talent they need, and local economies grow.
